Harold Mangum is President of The Memory Technologies Institute. Harold brings 27 years of training and development experience to the industry, 19 years of which he has taught memory training specifically. A psychologist educated at UT, he spent 13 years with ARCO Oil & Gas Company as Director of Training and Development in the Engineering and Operations Division. Harold joined MTI in 1990 as Corporate Sales Manager and became President of MTI in 1991. He has conducted workshops for the general public throughout the U.S. and in house programs at Fortune 500 corporations and associations including the following: AT&T, TXU, Sprint, Verizon, Johnson & Johnson, Xerox, Eastman Kodak, New York Life, Shell Oil, Microsoft, and many more. February Speaker - Al Aranda
Al Aranda is the Director of Public Safety for the Greenspoint District. The District was created by the state legislature in 1991 at the request of commercial property owners and is funded through their assessments to provide services and improvements to ensure Greenspoint's growth and prosperity. In his position, Aranda manages and oversees the District's public safety programs. He works closely with local law enforecement agencies to develop innovative crime prevention programs to meet the public safety needs of area employees, residents and businesses. Aranda also coordinates with the Planning, Operations and Infrastructure Department to identify code enforcement violations.
January Speaker - Vickie Irvine
Vickie has her Master of Business Administration and her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management and Marketing from Baylor University. She has her HR certification and is Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) qualified. She has been in the Human Resources field for 16 years and has extensive experience in Employee Relations, designing and delivering Training & Leadership Development programs, facilitating Change Management, Talent Acquisition and Management, designing Total Rewards programs and facilitating HR process analysis and setup.
Vickie is very involved in community and volunteer activities and donates time to a number of jobs ministries in Greater Houston. She is also active in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo serving on two committees: the Directions and Assistance committee and the Speakers committee, and a member of a number of professional groups, including the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), HR Houston where she serves on a committee, The Professional Group, the American Society of Training and Development Woodlands Community Training Network lunch bunch and the Tomball Business and Professional Women’s group.
